This small little restaurant turned out to be a hidden gem! First of all, if I could give this place 10 stars I would. João was absolutely amazing and made sure I had a great experience. He gave me a quick primer on when sardine season is in the Algarve, how to eat my dish (sardines) the local way (put the sardines on the bread so it soaks up the oil and flavor), and he even offered me a couple extra sardines for free which I politely refused cause I was so full! The food was absolutely great! João warned me about the salty skin of the sardines (that's how they cook the fish!) and recommended I just peel the skin off and not eat it but I loved the skin even though it was salty! The salad was good, and the potatoes were as well! All in all, I can't recommend this place enough. João took it to a whole different level with how accommodating and nice he was. I wish I stayed next to this place so I could keep coming back. If you're in this area, visit João and this absolutely cute small little restaurant, you won't regret it!

Excellent service, the owner is very kind, delicious salad and typical well made grilled sardines. We ordered six and owner was so gracious to ad an additional two at no cost. Visit this little hidden gem. We surely will whenever back in Portimão.

Repas très bon. Le patron est aux petits soins. Petit restaurant sans chichi mais le goût est au rendez vous. Nous avons pris la seiche grillée ( poisson du jour) et steck grillé (spécialité bresilienne) excellentissime et copieux. En dessert le "bolo de bolacho", une spécialité faites avec un biscuit Maria, un vrai délice ! (Fait maison). Le tout pour 38 euros. Je recommande !

Nos trataron súper bien en este bar. Cenamos mucho mejor de lo que habriamos cenado en los bares turísticos frente a la playa. La parrilla de carne picanha y la de sardinas estaban muy buena, además la acompañan de muchas cosas como ensaladas, arroz, patatas.... Todo muy sabroso y buen precio. Además fueron super amables y atentos con nosotros. El postre: dulce de la abuela, riquísimo también. Salimos muy muy contentos , lo recomiendo a todo el mundo. He visto un comentario de hace dos años que ponía "no apto para españoles" , pues para nada ... Súper apto, se desvivieron por atendernos bien y que estuviéramos a gusto. También es verdad que estábamos solos porque cenamos algo tarde y no parece un lugar super concurrido de turistas, así que todo muy bien. Gracias!!!!!!

Hemos estado 4 días en Portimao, y hemos venido dos veces, el primer día genial todo, pero las gambas al ajillo según ellos no venían lo calientes que debían. Nosotros no le dimos importancia porque estaban calientes y muy buenas, pero cuando fuimos a pagar no nos la cobraron. Muy amables y profesionales, sacan la comida a su tiempo y no te atosigan con los platos. Si vuelvo a venir lo haré aquí sin dudarlo.
